- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter. Place half the hearts on the baking sheet.
- Spread a small amount of almond paste and cherry preserves in the center of each heart. Cover with another pastry heart and press the edges to seal.
- Brush with egg wash and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract to create the glaze. Drizzle over the cooled pastries.
